ROOT TREATMENT
Pulp is the name given to the soft tissue inside the root canal. The pulp is rich in nerves and blood vessels that feed the tooth. When the infection progresses to the pulp layer, the pulp layer must be cleaned and refilled. During root canal treatment, the pulp and dental nerve are removed, the inside of the tooth is cleaned, and then the gap is filled.
If this treatment is not performed, the caries will go deep and the nerves will become inflamed. Later on, abscesses can be seen. Abscesses can cause visible problems in the face, neck and other parts of the head.

HOW TO MAKE ROOT TREATMENT
In root canal treatment, an X-ray must be taken first. The purpose of this X-ray is to see the shape of the root canals and to determine the infection in the bones. Local anesthesia is used in root canal treatment.
the dentist will drill a hole in the root canal. Decayed nerve tissue, pulpare removed from this hole. After the inner part of the tooth is thoroughly cleaned, a substance called gutta-percha, which is a high-strength paste that will prevent leakage, is used into the hole. Then, the external access hole opened at the beginning of the treatment is closed with a filling.

DURATION OF CANAL TREATMENT
The duration of root canal treatment may differ from person to person. Generally, the tooth is closed on the day it is cleaned. The treatment process takes between 40 and 90 minutes on average. Depending on the infection in the tooth, your doctor may want to wait 1 week to close the canal after the canal is expanded and cleaned. The reason for this is to thoroughly clean the infection inside.
